Youth Community Corrections Bureau
The Youth Community Corrections Bureau includes twelve Juvenile Parole Officers throughout Montana, working in five regions and two Youth Reentry Aftercare Coordinators. It also includes the Youth Transition Center, Youth transportation, Juvenile Detention Licensing and Quality Assurance, and Financial and Program Specialists. This bureau, in conjunction with the other two bureaus, operates the youth reintegration initiative. Through the initiative, we have developed "guide homes" through Youth Homes, Incorporated, community mentors through Mountain Peaks Incorporated and enhanced faith based services for youth reintegrating into communities by involving Parish Nurses in the community support teams.

Juvenile Delinquency Intervention Program
The Youth Community Corrections Bureau administers the juvenile placement funds appropriated to the Department according to 41-5-130, MCA and the Bureau’s Financial and Program Services unit oversees the funds of the Juvenile Delinquency Intervention Program (JDIP) as provided in 41-5-2003, MCA. All judicial districts participate in JDIP; a program which has proven to be extremely successful in meeting the goal of remaining within budget allocations and providing funds to establish community programs intended to keep youth from the need for out-of-home placements and/or services. For specific information, contact the Financial and Program Services Supervisor.
