MCE Ranch
The MCE Ranch runs approximately 1700 head of predominately Black Angus cattle. Heifers are bred by artificial insemination and calves are offered at auction in the fall and shipped in December or January. All range cattle must be shipped out of state.
The crop program annually harvest in excess of 10,000 tons of hay and silage forage and raises barley and oats on approximately 2500 acres. Seven reservoirs feed the irrigation systems along with two pivots and up to 18 miles of hard line.
The MCE Ranch has implemented short and long-term range, weed and forest management plans for better utilization of ranch land resources.
